Yo, Let's Talk About All The Times AI Totally Messed Up in 2024 😭

Look, I know everyone's been hyping up AI like it's the best thing since sliced bread (Nobel Prizes and whatnot), but can we PLEASE talk about all the times it completely lost the plot? 'Cause honestly, some of this stuff is wild af.

Bruh, they're calling it "AI slop" and it's EVERYWHERE:

  • Your inbox? Slop.

  • Amazon books? Slop.

  • Those weird ads? You guessed it - SLOP.

  • Social media? Drowning in it.

The worst part? People are making bank off posting fake emotional AI pics like "look at this sad veteran" or "crying child" 🚩 And get this - all this AI garbage is gonna make future AI even WORSE because it's learning from its own trash! It's like a dog eating its own... you know what, never mind 💀

This is actually hilarious (and kinda sad):

That Willy Wonka thing? BRUH. People showed up expecting some magical chocolate wonderland because of these fancy AI pics, and what did they get?
A warehouse with like, two balloons and some guy in a top hat looking depressed 😭

And omg, the Dublin Halloween parade! Hundreds of people stood in the cold waiting for a parade that DIDN'T EVEN EXIST! Some random website in Pakistan made it up with AI and everyone just... believed it? I can't even 💀

So every other AI company is like "no bad stuff allowed" but Elon's Grok is out here like "you want Donald Trump firing a bazooka? Say less fam" 💀

Like literally every other AI: "We must be responsible" Grok: "HERE'S MICKEY MOUSE WITH A BOMB LOL"

Okay this one's actually messed up. Some creeps used Microsoft's AI to make fake... inappropriate pics of Taylor Swift and spread them everywhere. Not cool.

The platforms were useless about taking them down too. Do better, bros. 😤

  • Air Canada's bot just straight up MADE UP POLICIES

  • DPD's bot started cursing and calling itself useless (mood tbh)

  • NYC's government bot was literally giving tips on how to break the law???

Like, who thought letting these bots run wild was a good idea? 🤦‍♀️

Remember those AI pins you wear on your clothes? Yeah, me neither. Nobody bought that stuff. And the Rabbit R1? More like Rabbit R-WHY. Even making it cheaper didn't help because turns out nobody wants to pay for stuff that doesn't work!

Google's AI really said:

And Apple's notification thing? Started making up whole news stories! Like "this guy shot himself" (he didn't) and "Netanyahu got arrested" (also nope). Like, my brother in Christ, please just show me my actual notifications 😭

Look, I'm not saying AI is terrible or whatever, but maybe... MAYBE we should make sure it actually works before letting it loose on the internet? Just a thought!
